Toto

Toto, the world's largest toilet manufacturer, has sold over 20 million bidet toilet seats in Japan. They've been so succesful in Japan that the word "Washlet", the brand name under which Toto sells its bidet toilet seats, has become the generic word for advanced toilets in Japanese. Sometimes you'll see electric bidet seats referred to as "Washlet-style bidets".

So what are these features, anyway?

Heated Seat
Heated seats are a must-have feature during cold winter months. Non-heated seats can become shockingly cold overnight. Make sure that your morning rituals are pleasant with a comfortably heated seat. See bidets with heated seats.
Nozzle Oscillation
Nozzle oscillation is a nice feature to have, but many people can probably live without it. With this feature, the spray moves gently back and forth to clean better. An alternative is to shift your body slightly on the toilet seat while the bidet is spraying. This gives similar results. See bidets with nozzle oscillation. See bidets without nozzle oscillation.
Nozzle Count
Some bidets use separate nozzles for front (feminine) wash and rear (posterior) wash.
Nozzle Material
Typical nozzle materials are plastic and stainless steel. Plastic nozzles may discolor and weaken over time. Stainless steel nozzles are stronger and slightly easier to clean.
On-Demand Nozzle Sterilization
Bidets rinse their nozzles with fresh, clean water before each use. This feature allows you to initiate nozzle sterilization at the press of a button.
Controls
Electronic controls for bidets come in two varieties: wireless and side-panel. Wireless remotes can be mounted on a wall or kept within easy reach. Side panel controls are located on a console that is connected to the side of the bidet at seat level. See bidets with wireless controls. See bidets with side-panel controls.
